About Us

HotRock Events + Catering was established in 2005 by proprietors Michael and Melissa Carroll, who take enormous pride in what they offer. Melissa’s extensive Event Management experience ranges from being banquet co-ordinator in five star hotels in Sydney and Adelaide, to being event manager for the Australian Jockey Club, Randwick, organising social events and major race days for literally thousands of guests.

Michael’s fifteen years cooking in Sydney and a further two years in Europe training at Michelin star restaurants in France, Italy and Switzerland has a strong belief that service, the best possible ingredients and simplicity are at the heart of a great meal.

Our scope of experience varies from events such as: team building, gala dinners, product launches, building openings, Christmas parties, weddings, marquee catering, open air cinemas and charity events.

Our trained and friendly event management team can look after all your needs or maybe just a few elements of the event. The choice is up to you.

Our production kitchen is located at 12 Brunker Rd Broadmeadow and has plenty of parking for you. Whether you are picking up a gourmet hamper or having a menu tasting to finalise your big day. A visit to the ‘studio’ gives you a great insight into how we put it together. Our services are available throughout Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, the Vineyards, Singleton and the Central Coast.
